The joy-filled Eucharist planned by the Oriens Region was sung and prayed in Japanese. Since we were celebrating the martyrdom of Andrew Kim and his companions the first reading was in Korean. "Look at the joy which came from God (entrance) and we are living in the hand of God.(recessional)" was reflected in the fact that this morning's clouds and slight drizzle gave way to sun through the clouds.

Two Salesian priests Fr. Franco Lever and Fr. Fabisso Pasqualetti spoke today on 'Media, Internet, Communication and the Silence of the Trappist.'

(See the talk of the web) Five questions were given to the group to discuss in our commissions. 1) What is the main important, specific form of communication for you? 2) Could you underline 3 aspects that attract you about the internet and 3 aspects that are fearful? 3) If you could use the internet for something, what would you like to do? 4) Our vocation in constitution #29 is total separation from the world in silence but is that possible today? How can we refrain this definition? 5) How do you envision participation on a virtual scale in our liturgy?

The commissions continued their pastoral work in the afternoon.
